Olio Piro LLC and Bonini SRL announce merger to strengthen global gourmet presence

Olio Piro LLC and Bonini SRL have announced a strategic merger aimed at expanding their international footprint in the premium gourmet food market, according to a joint statement released on Tuesday.

The merger brings together Olio Piro’s portfolio of award-winning extra virgin olive oils and Bonini’s traditional balsamic vinegars of Modena, combining two heritage Italian food producers under one unified structure. Both companies are known for their commitment to artisanal production methods, controlled sourcing and long-standing family traditions.

Company executives said the merger is designed to strengthen global distribution capabilities while preserving the distinct identities and production philosophies of each brand. Bonini will continue to operate in Modena under existing PDO regulations, while Olio Piro will maintain its olive oil production rooted in Italian regional sourcing.

Industry observers note that the move reflects a broader trend in the specialty food sector, where heritage brands are joining forces to better serve international gourmet retailers, chefs and high-end consumers seeking authentic, premium products.

The newly merged group aims to leverage shared expertise in craftsmanship, branding and international sales to accelerate growth across key markets, particularly in North America and Europe.
