ofi’s Cocoa Compass Wins FIE Sustainability Innovation Award

ofi (Olam Food Ingredients) has been awarded the Sustainability Innovation Award at the Fi Europe 2025 Innovation Awards for its Cocoa Compass sustainability strategy, recognizing its progress in driving sustainable cocoa production and supply chain transparency.
The award, presented at Food ingredients Europe in Paris, highlights Cocoa Compass’s measurable impact on enhancing farmer livelihoods, climate action, education, and landscape protection through tools such as Natural Capital Accounting and the Farmer Income Tool.
Launched in 2019, Cocoa Compass sets ambitious goals to tackle challenges across the cocoa value chain by 2030, drawing on over two decades of ofi’s work supporting cocoa farmers and collaborating with industry partners.

At the event, the judging panel — comprised of independent industry experts — selected only a small percentage of entries for finalist consideration, underscoring the competitiveness of the sustainability category.
The recognition follows recent accolades for Cocoa Compass, including its commendation at the Reuters Global Sustainability Awards and winning Sustainability Report of the Year at the Business Green Awards earlier in 2025.
The Fi Europe Innovation Awards also honored other industry innovators across categories such as dairy alternatives, plant-based solutions, food technology, and health.
