Lee Kum Kee Partners with UNESCO to Launch “Forever Flavors Project”

Lee Kum Kee has partnered with UNESCO to launch the Forever Flavors Project, a global initiative aimed at co-creating a digital archive of flavour memories from cultures around the world.
The project was officially unveiled in Beijing and invites individuals to share personal food stories in the form of text, photos, and videos. The initiative seeks to highlight the role of culinary traditions in preserving cultural identity, strengthening intergenerational bonds, and fostering cross-cultural understanding.
Preserving Culinary Heritage Through Global Participation
The Forever Flavors Project focuses on four key pillars: safeguarding food-related cultural heritage, empowering young culinary talents, promoting cultural exchange, and encouraging public participation. Submissions from around the world will be curated and featured across digital platforms, contributing to a growing global archive of flavour memories.
Participants whose stories are selected will receive a digital certificate recognizing their contribution to the preservation of culinary heritage.
Food as a Universal Cultural Language
Representatives from UNESCO emphasized that food is more than nourishment, describing it as a powerful carrier of identity, memory, and emotion. By documenting personal and communal food experiences, the project aims to strengthen awareness of cultural diversity and support sustainable cultural development.
Lee Kum Kee noted that since its founding in 1888, the company has remained committed to connecting people through food and preserving authentic culinary traditions across generations.
Open Call for Submissions
The Forever Flavors Project is now open for global participation through online platforms and social media channels. Individuals from all backgrounds are encouraged to contribute their unique food stories and help build a lasting archive of shared culinary heritage.
